Zuckerberg Talks Morale, Gray Shirts and One Billion User Milestone With Matt Lauer

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Matt Lauer

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg sat down (and walked around) for an interview with Matt Lauer. The interview coincides with Facebook's announcement that is has reached the 1 billion active user milestone.

Facebook's shares have been a disaster. The company's shares have plunged since the IPO. The company has lost close to 50% of its value. Matt Lauer asked Zuckerberg about morale at the company.

Zuckerberg said, "We're in a tough cycle now and that doesn't help morale, but at the same time people are focused on the things they are building."

Zuckerberg says he doesn't seek out the press unless he has something to say. He finds being on tabloid covers "odd."

Zuckerberg also told Lauer that he wears the same thing every day and he has about 20 of the same colored gray shirts. He claims to have just one drawer in his house for his clothes. However, he wore a suit when he met Russia's Prime Minister Dmitri A. Medvedev earlier this week. Here is the interview:
