Amazon.com has invested in The Robot Co-op, a start-up company that runs the 43 Things website. 43 Things is a website that aggregates people's dreams and things they want to do like have my wisdom teeth taken out, lose 15 pounds or start a blog. The Robot Co-op says they will soon be releasing the next version of 43 Things called Quackers. Their website says, "Quackers will leverage
the community of people who’ve completed a goal and are willing to
help the rest of us who are trying to complete the same goal."
Quackers will also let people add their list of things they want to
do or have done to their blog. They are calling it Quackers despite the fact that AOL owns the domain name: Whois.sc: Quackers.com. Salon reports that while the company looks like a grass roots start-up it is actually funded primarily by Amazon.com.
