The current forecast is for Wilma to strengthen slowly to a Category 3 hurricane and then move north and east toward the Florida coast. But landfall is still several days away and the forecasts tend to be less reliable this far out. Wilma tied the 1933 record by becoming the 21st named storm in this extremely active season.

be enormous. There is also this Tbo.com Interactive Report that shows a worst case scenario for the city.
Steve Gregory at Wunderground.com says South Florida has the highest probability
of being hit: "NHC of course reminds us that it is too soon to say where the storm will actually cross the eastern Gulf coast -- and they are correct -- but for inquiring minds - the highest probability -- and the one with the greatest support between the GFS and NOGAPS, is over the southern third of Florida -- and that is my expectation."
